Care and Fees
Care at TideandMindDO is structured to allow time, attention, and individualized decision-making. Visit length, pacing, and fees reflect the depth of assessment, clinical reasoning, and relationship-based care provided.
Getting Started: Intake Consultation

Comprehensive Intake Consultation —
75 minutes
Fee: $450
The intake consultation is a required first visit before medications, psychotherapy, or other treatments can be offered. This extended appointment is dedicated to understanding your current concerns, medical and psychiatric history, life context, and goals for care.
The intake visit also allows you and Dr. Julia to determine whether your mental health needs align with the services offered at TideandMindDO. Following this visit, appropriate follow-up care may be scheduled.
Ongoing Care Options
After the intake consultation, follow-up visits are individualized and may include one or more of the following:

Therapy + Medication Management —
45 minutes
Fee: $350
These visits integrate psychotherapy with thoughtful medication management, when appropriate. Sessions focus on emotional processing, patterns shaped by lived experience, and collaborative treatment planning, while also addressing medication efficacy, tolerability, and adjustments as needed.

Medication Management —
25 minutes
Fee: $250
These visits focus on medication initiation, adjustments, refills, and evaluation of effectiveness. Care is approached thoughtfully and collaboratively, with attention to the broader clinical context rather than symptoms alone.

Telephone Consultations (Urgent Matters) —
15-minute increments
Fee: $150
Brief telephone consultations are available for urgent clinical concerns that arise between scheduled visits, when appropriate.

Care Coordination & Clinical Collaboration —

Fee: $150 per 30-minute consultation
Capped at $300 per patient for cumulative care coordination services
Whole-person psychiatry often extends beyond the visit itself.
When clinically indicated and with your consent, time may be spent coordinating care with other members of your healthcare team to support safe, integrated, and effective treatment.
This may include:
-
Communication with primary care clinicians or medical specialists (e.g., neurology, endocrinology, cardiology)
-
Collaboration with therapists or other mental health professionals
-
Review of external medical records or laboratory data
-
Integration of recommendations across disciplines
-
Clinical advocacy aligned with your goals and values
Where Care Happens
Your care can take place in the way that best supports your life and consistency. Dr. Julia offers in-person visits in Myrtle Beach, SC, as well as virtual appointments for convenience, travel constraints, and continuity of care.
Please note: For safety and regulatory reasons, select medications—including GLP-1s (semaglutide/tirzepatide) and certain psychotropics—may require an in-person visit prior to prescribing, and ongoing as clinically indicated.
Insurance & Payment Information
Insurance
TideandMindDO does not participate with commercial insurance plans and does not accept Medicare or Medicaid.
This practice operates outside of high-volume insurance models in order to provide unhurried, individualized, and relationship-centered care.
While insurance is not accepted, a superbill can be provided upon request. Patients may submit this documentation to their insurance carrier for possible out-of-network reimbursement, subject to their individual plan benefits.

Payment & Scheduling
A valid credit card is required to be kept securely on file prior to scheduling services. Payment is processed at the time of service.
This policy allows visits to remain focused on care rather than administrative matters and supports the continuity and availability of appointments.

Care is paced intentionally, with the understanding that meaningful healing takes time, attention, and trust.
